Speaker Information:

Camilla Koskinen PhD, RN

Camilla Koskinen holds a PhD in Health Sciences and is a Docent in Clinical Caring Science at Åbo Akademi University, Finland. She currently serves as a Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway. Caring Science constitutes the theoretical foundation of her research. Her theoretical development is closely linked to the core concepts of ethics, health, suffering, and caring, in relation to human life and various healthcare contexts. Methodologically, she has distinguished herself within hermeneutics and has contributed to the advancement of hermeneutic reading and hermeneutic application research. Her research profile also encompasses the didactics of Caring Science, with a particular focus on the competence of nurse educators, students’ learning processes, and the integration of Caring Science in both theory and practice.

Turid Anita Jaastad RN, Cand.san.

Turid Anita Jaastad is an Associate Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway. She holds a PhD in Caring Science from Åbo Akademi University in Finland. She teaches undergraduate nursing students in subjects such as caring, caring theory, and ethics. Her research is grounded in Caring Science, hermeneutics, and qualitative methodologies, with a particular focus on nursing students’ development toward becoming caring nurses. Her research profile also encompasses the didactics of Caring Science, with a special emphasis on the competence of nurse educators, students’ learning processes, and the integration of Caring Science in both theory and practice.
