2026 Scholarship Applications are open to IAHC Membership
The application process is open to anyone interested in advancing Caring and Caring Science; if chosen as a recipient of a Scholarship, the applicant needs to be a member (or needs to join) IAHC.

The Board Members of the International Association for Human Caring, through the generosity of donors, are pleased to offer 11 Scholarships to support attendance at the Annual IAHC Conference and to advance Caring and Caring Science through specific theoretical perspectives.
2026 Scholarship Applications are open for submissions. The application process is open to anyone interested in advancing Caring and Caring Science; if chosen as a recipient of a Scholarship, the applicant needs to be a member (or needs to join) IAHC.
Please review the descriptions of the Scholarships and select the one that is congruent with your goals of advancing Caring and Caring Science by attendance at the conference and/or by advancing a specific theoretical perspective in research. Be sure to identify which scholarship you are applying for and how it aligns with your work or focus in your application.
The application should include a cover page with your contact information; a 1-2 page description of how the scholarship will align with your goals; 1 letter of recommendation from a faculty member or colleague who can speak to your work and career goals. The application must be formatted and submitted as a single PDF file. Incomplete or non-PDF formatted applications will not be reviewed.

- International Association for Human Caring Student Award
- Trevor R Harrison Caring Scholarship Award
The Five Awards for Advancing Caring from the lens of a specific Theoretical Perspective are:
- Boykin and Schoenhofer Nursing as Caring Award
- Madeleine Leininger Culture Care Award
- Parker, Barry, & King Community Caring Award
- Shirley C. Gordon Award
- Vicente Teves Locsin, Jr. Research and Scholarship in Nursing Award
